Hello, I hope you are all well.

When the Federal Government passed Australia’s first paid parental leave scheme last month, Michele and I were licking our lips are the prospect of more family benefits. Not so much because it’s a lot of money (it’s not) but every parent out there knows the cost of a child is costing an arm and a leg these days so it’s about bloody time Australia caught up with the rest of the world with parental benefits.

We were left wondering what the details were as there was no visible information. Nothing has been published on The Age since.

Until we found this link. Check it.

How wonderful a father can finally be involved in the first few months of a child’s development. Currently, all a father gets is a week of paid leave. Which is far better than most Asian countries. But Asia is Australia not. Yes, I meant that grammatically.
