Afternoon @ Port Melbourne

Posted on August 14, 2010

Hello, I hope you have all been well.

Like bees to a flower, one of the first things Michele and I did was head for a decent fish and chippery shop upon returning to Melbourne. No offense, but after almost two weeks of Singaporean/Malaysian cuisine we were absolutely hanging for some decent Aussie grub.

So we found ourselves in Port Melbourne. D’Lish Fish has been earning her stripes for a long time now, but since the new management the food has become a whole lot better.

I won’t go into the fish, as I’m no food reviewer. However, if it’s decent fish and chips you want in Melbourne (with absolutely smashing fresh calamari and shrimps too), that’s the place to go.

After stuffing ourselves silly with food from the sea, we went around the area and felt really rich rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous who live in the vicinity.
