Peanut’s Fortnightly Belly Show – Episode 2 (18 weeks pregnant)

Posted on June 17, 2012

Morning Melbourne and friends, I hope you have all been well.

Michele is fast approaching the middle stretch of her second trimester and that proud Peanut belly is now obvious regardless of the clothing Michele wears.

Place your hand on it and you get a firm resistance and if you are lucky – as Michele has been lately – you might feel a slight flutter, murmur or even a gentle movement. Michele has felt Peanut move and even roll. (Ok do not quote me on that but was what she said!)

They say the second pregnancy is always more difficult but the birth is easier.

I am in no position to dispute that as Michele’s food cravings, body aches, breathlessness are all compounded and twisted to confuse both parents.

With Levi, Michele hated chocolate but with Peanut it’s chocolate spamming to the point Michele realized she may have an addiction going.

And there’s a strange obsession with Singaporean fare which she’s only able to satiate with drives to Box Hill and good Singaporean/Malaysian restaurants. Sadly, there aren’t any within a 30 minute drive from where we live.

In just two weeks’ time we’ll have hit the halfway point; time sure does fly!
